Invertek Drives and Stadco Powys, from Welshpool and Llanfyllin respectively, are celebrating after being crowned winners in the Wales region heats of the national Chamber Awards 2015.

The Chamber Awards, now in their 12th year, are a highlight of the business calendar, showcasing the pivotal role local businesses play in the UK’s continuing growth story.

Having won the regional Export Business of the Year Award, Invertek Drives – manufacturer and global distributor of variable frequency drives – will now go forward to represent the Wales region in the national finals, which take place in London.

They will be joined by Stadco Powys, a supplier of pressings and painted assemblies to the automotive industry, who scooped the regional Business in the Community Award.

Keith Palmer, Group CEO of the South & Mid Wales Chambers of Commerce said:

“The Chamber Awards are the perfect opportunity to take stock of the outstanding performances of UK businesses over the past year – something made all the more impressive by the continuing global economic headwinds they are facing.”
