BREEDING EWES

Our first store ewe sale of the season brought with it a small entry of 83 and with the warm weather continuing it was clear numbers were never going to be in our favour due to many vendors facing harvesting commitments. However, of those that were entered, some quality outfits were on show from welshpool regulars with strong ewes being hotly contested with prices hitting £141 for a run of Suffolk x yearlings from A H Jones & Son, Hirrhyd. Pens of further Suffolk x yearlings sold for £140 and £125 respectively from DE & KD Langford, Brunant.

Sales of store ewes will now take place on a weekly basis through ring 4 following the sale of store lambs!

The section would like to thank vendors and purchasers for your support and should vendors old or new have ewes to sell or require further information please contact auctioneer Tom Davies 07764 663 193.
