A good entry of 42 otm cows this week topping at £1046.36 for a 707kg Limousin from HE & ME Jones, Penygelli. J & B Vaughan, Sychtyn, presented a Limousin weighing 684kg making £793.44. Cow 48 to 72 months topped at £1365.12 for a 864kg Charolais from Roberts & Jones, Parc. Anotehr 68 month old Charolais weighing 775kg from the same home made £1139.25. Hefiers under 48 months topped at £1238.88 for a British Blue weighing 712kg making £1238.88 from R O Evans, Pengeulan. M Harding, Lower Cefnypwll, presented a steer under 48 months weighing 909kg making £1263.51.

A good entry of culls this week seeing an increased average of £49.44 for ewes and £76.55 for rams.
Cull ewes topped at £114 from P Jones & Son, Dolgwenith. G & B Bell, Chesterton Farm, presented 2 ewes making £101. Rams topped at £160.
STORE LAMBS (1080)
A good entry of store lambs seeing at top of £73 for Texel x mixed and clean lambs from GH & CA Jones & Son, Brynmawr. Tup lambs topped at £68.50 from M H Pugh, Gilfach. WG & AF Lewis, Pantglas, sold 13 Lleyn wether lambs to £67. Theave lambs topped at £64 for 17 Texel x lambs from DM & RC Rees, Dugwn Farm.

BREEDING EWES (754)
A reduced entry of 754 through the store ring this Monday with 687 of those being breeding ewe lambs, which sold to a hard trade as demand decreases. Top price of the day went to J A Williams, Llechwedd Ddrys, for 2 Texel x ewe lambs that hit £100. A further 2 Texel x ewe lambs from the same home made £98. C Wozencraft, Bryndraenog, sold a pen of Suffolk x ewe lambs for £90. J M Rowlands, Dolwen Farm, sold a pen of Beulah Ewe Lambs for £84. A small entry of yearling ewes peaked at £99 for 2 Suffolk x from M A Andrew, Tycerrig, and a pen of 6 Texel x yearlings from DG & BE Jenkins, Gaerfawr, made £96. A small pen of Welsh 2 year old and yearling ewes from E T Bound & Co, Tynymaes, sold to £76 and As found ewes topped at £73 for a pen of 8 as found beulahs from J Roberts, Garthmyl House.
COWS AND CALVES
Another good entry of 68 cows and calves this week seeing another consignment of 26 cows and calves from R W Owen, Geirn, Anglesey. Topping the sale at £2700 was a British Blue x 1st calver with her Limousin x male calf. Other highlights from the consignment were £2680 for a Limousin x 1st calver with her limousin male calf, at £2400 was another limousin x 1st calver with her limousin male calf. The 26 outfits in offer from the Owen family averaged £1958.80. R I Owen & Co, Cwnfynnon, presented a Limousin cow with her Limousin heifer calf making £2180. A breakdown of all prices achieved were as follows: £2000 + 14 lots, £1800 - £2000 10 lots, £1600 - £18008 lots, £1400- £1600 13 lots, £1200 - £1400 12 lots, £1000 - £1200 5 lots, < £1000 1 lot.
