Stephen was joined by John Mercer, Director of NFU Cymru, Cllr Stephen Kaye, Mayor of Welshpool, as well as representatives from NFU Mutual Head Office including Richard Ralph, Management Surveyor at NFU Mutual. Richard has been a vital part of the renovation project alongside Planned Office Interiors who oversaw the complete design, fit-out and refurbishment of the new office.

Speaking at the event, Stephen James, NFU Cymru President said: “The work that NFU Cymru does on behalf of its members is vital – they are our voice, our lobbying body and our channel to getting our thoughts heard at Government level so change can be made. I am proud to officially open this new office in Welshpool – one of the most impressive in the country. The team here at Welshpool are a vital service to farmers and this investment is an indication of the confidence that NFU Cymru and NFU Mutual has in the future of farming.”

Stephen Kenyon, Senior Agent at NFU Mutual Welshpool added: “We’re so delighted to officially open our new office and we’re already feeling very at home here at 20 Church Street, Welshpool. The larger, modern space is a talking point for the town and provides a dedicated conference room, private meeting space and large open plan reception area - we will be able to host more events, seminars and workshops for our policyholders and NFU members. Please do drop in and meet my team.”
