OTMS (40)
A very similar entry of otms this week topped at £1210.75 (167ppkg) for a 725kg Limousin from MPB Ashton & Son, Belan Ddu. Cows 48 to 72 months topped at £975 (150ppkg) from D S Jerman, Gwernau, for a 650kg Limousin.
Otm Cows (x28) averaged 116.40ppkg / £765.82.
Cows 48 – 72 months (x6) averaged 126.56ppkg / £837.59.
Heifers Under 48 months (x1) averaged 123ppkg / £581.79.
Otm Bull (x1) averaged 124ppkg / £1135.84.
Bulls under 72 months (x1) averaged 117ppkg / £1123.20.
Steers 48-72 months (x3) averaged 148.92ppkg making £839.91.
Overall average of 120.41ppkg.

An entry of 5498 prime lambs with an average of 174.39ppkg.
Lights (518) to 174ppkg from C R Ellis, Ty Uchaf. Others to 172ppkg from DW & FM Edwards, Tyntwll. Average of 141.79ppkg.
Standards (1392) to 206pkg from Ellis Lloyd & Co, Garthiaen. Others to 203ppkg from Ellis Lloyd & Co, Garthiaen. Average of 171.33ppkg.
Mediums (2205) to 216ppkg from E H Pennie & Son, Gwern-yr-Ychain. Others to 214ppkg from B L Griifiths, Lower Penygelli. Average of 181.22ppkg.
Heavies (1100) to 212ppkg from C Woosnam & TA Mathias, The Forest. Others to 211ppkg from C Woosnam & TA Mathias, The Forest. Average of 172.92ppkg.
Over Weights (169) to 168ppkg from TH Vaughan & Son, Maes Mochnant Uchaf. Others to 166ppkg from G & W Jones, Glascoed. Average of 158.61ppkg.
CULL SHEEP (2298)
A entry of 2238 cull ewes achieved an average of £36.05, trade was slightly Sharper although not reflected in today’s average. Strong Well finished continental ewes were still very much in demand.
A pen of 19 quality ewes achieved an average of 108 presented by JS & A Howells, Shadog Farm. A regular high flyer was C L Watkins, Bank Farm, achieved an average of £104. an entry of 50 cull rams averaged £71.24. Welsh type ewes were a very similar trade to the previous week.

STORE LAMBS (1130)
Strong entry of store lambs this week topping at £60 for texel x mixed and clean lambs from EI Hamer, TY Llewellyn. Tup lambs from GP Hughes, Glanithon, also topped at £60. 14 Suffolk theave lambs from E Ll Jones, Bryngwaeddon, made £59 and 6 suffolk lambs at £58.

BREEDING EWES
A catalogued sale of 3307 breeding ewes this week topping ta £145 for a pen of 10 Texel yearlings from EA Marston, New House. 5 Texel x yearlings from J F Robinson & Sons, Highfields, made £142. Also at £142 were 10 Beltex x yearlings from SH Lloyd & Sons, Penllan. And D & S Gethin, The Gaer, presented 6 Bluefaced yearlings also making £142. 2 year old ewes topped at £135 for 4 beltex from G Davies, Lan Farm. Full mouth ewes topped at £120 for Texels from DJL & SJ Evans, Rhoscyninfa. An entry of 61 Improved Welsh as found ewes from Welsh Farm Organics topped at £92 averaging £73.26.
An entry of 383 ewe lambs topped at £132 for Texels from J F Robinson & Sons, Highfileds. H Hughes & Son, Hendy, sold Suffolk ewe lambs to £85.

BREEDING RAMS
A catalogued sale of 120 mv accredited multi breed rams took place here seeing a top of 500gns for a Charollais yearling from DJ Curran, Wern Fawr. Next at 480gns was another Charollais yearling from J & A Price, Oakchurch.
Ram lambs topped at 420gns for a Charollais also from D J Curran. Aged Rams topped at 320gns for a Texel from R Evans & G Jones, Maesiwan.
