OTMS (31)
Topping the otm section at £1200.60 was E Pryce Jones & Son, Clegyrnant, with a 870kg Welsh Black. Next at £1184.55 was a 795kg Charolais from D W Evans & Son, Tymawr. Younger cows topped at £1392 for a 800kg Limousin from JRS Hughes & Co, Lower Munllyn.
Heifers under 48 months topped at £971.70 for a 615kg Limousin from JRD Best & Son, Pentrego.
Averages of the day were as follows:

Cows 48-72 months (x2) 144.38ppkg / £1180.30.
Heifers under 48 months (x11) 144.01ppkg /£716.11

CULL SHEEP (2166)
A good show of culls this week saw averages of £65 for ewes and £86 for rams. Ewes topped at £140 from W T Davies, Canllefaes. J Tudor, Brynawel, sold ewe to £137. G E Davies & Sons, Cwmbromley, sold ewes to £136. Rams topped at £144 from H M Powell & Son, Whitehouse.

CADE LAMBS
An entry of 176 cade lambs clearly proved to outweigh the demand with averages decreasing to £4.75 with the best making £17, £16 and £14.
STORE LAMBS
A seasonal entry of 207 store lambs again selling to an impressive trade that saw lambs hit £83 for 33 Texel x ewe lambs from P R Williams, Llwyngwilym. Other theave lambs sold to £79, £70, £64 and £60. Mixed and clean lambs peaked at £74 for 12 Texels from D S Griffiths & Co, Braich Y Fedw with others selling to £66, £60.50 x2. Wether lambs hot £59.50 for a pen of 6 ryelands from AJ & JC Daniel, abergwydil farm, with others to £40. A strong entry of tup lambs hit £78.50 for Texels from AJ & JC Daniel, Abergwydil. With others to £64.50, £61, £60 and £59.50.
Averages were: Theaves £62.18, Mixed & Clean £60.41, Wethers £56.71, Tups £56.78.
IN-LAMB EWES
An entry of 288 in lamb hoggs as part of a reduction sale from T M Davies, Wynnstay farm, sold to an impressive trade that saw 15 Suffolk x hoggs hit £138, £124 & £122. In-lamb texel x hoggs peaked at £124 with others to £122 and £118. With strong run of in-lamb mule hoggs to £129, £127 and £125 with the whole run averaging £117.
COUPLES
An impressive non catalogued sale entry of 134 ewe with lambs at foot sold to a mixed trade that peaked at £191 for 2 blue texel x 2 and 3 year old ewes with twin lambs. Other texel ewes with twin lambs reached £178, £170 and £168. With Suffolk ewes and twin lambs hitting £170 from GTW Andrew, Bwlch, with others to £150.
As found mule ewes with twin lambs stormed away to £165 x2 and £162 all from GTW Andrew, Bwlch.
Best singles hit £129 from J B C Gwilliam, Bwlch Garth, and also £120 from the same home both for as found ewes.
