OTMS (51)
a good entry of 51 otm cows saw a top of £1368.90 (169ppkg) for a 810kg Limousin from AG & JK Davies, Upper Esgair. M & JE Jones & DCE & MN Davies, Cwm Farm, presented a 775kg Limousin for £1340.75 (173ppkg). Cows 48 – 72 months topped at £1125 (150ppkg) for a Limousin weighing in at 750kg from H & S Watkins, Cammen Uchaf. JH & ML Breeze, South Moelygarth, sold a 668kg Limousin younger cow making £1002 (150ppkg). Heifers under 48 months topped at £1028.10 (149ppkg) for a 690kg British Blue from R A Meddins, Hafod.

CULL SHEEP (2255)
A good entry of 2255 culls this week saw an average of £60.78 for ewes and £85.16 for Rams. Ewes topped at £125 from Tynybryn Farms, Tynybryn. Janet Davies, Tyncoed, also sold a ewes to £120. J & J Beavan & Sons, Winsbury, sold a pen of 16 ewes for £117.50. Cull rams topped at £130 from G, Jl & RW Pritchard, Penysarn. R G Evans & Son, Tynygarreg, sold 5 rams to £129. The stronger and better fleshed ewes were in strong demand.

COUPLES
new vendor J E Williams & Son, Lake House, took top price of the 330 couples on offer with 10 suffolk x full mouth ewes with 14 lambs hitting £198 with a further 10 Suffolk x full mouth ewes with 14 lambs from the same home selling for £178. S A Cherry, The Graig, sold 3 mule 2/3 year old ewes with twin lambs for £187. TE & MA Jerman, Penyffridd, sold full mouth mules with twins to £186 and 2 year old mules with singles to £131. Best singles peaked at £182 for a suffolk x 3 year old and single lambs from R & R Jerman, The Ffridd. Other singles from the same home sold for £170 x 2, £162 and £155 x2.
