One of the four subsidiaries of Welshpool-based Technogroup has suspended operations after the loss of a major contract.
Jones of Oswestry Ltd has told its 56 employees that they will be contacted within five days after the future of the company has been considered.
The statement from its directors read:
“We regrettably advise work has currently been suspended at Jones of Oswestry Ltd. due to the loss of a major sub contract. 56 people are employed by the company. Management are currently considering the future operation of the company. Employees have been advised they will be contacted within five working days as to future developments.”
The company is one of four that operates under the Technogroup umbrella which employs around 180 people at its Welshpool Technocover site. No jobs are thought to be under threat there .
Jones of Oswestry are specialist designers and manufacturers of high durability steel products used in the construction industry.
