The only shop in Guilsfield has gone up for sale this week.
The village, which is unofficially regarded as the largest in Wales, has been serviced by the Spar, which took over the premises previously known as Habberley’s in the 1980's.
Harding’s Garden Centre on the edge of the village has recently opened a major convenience store on its premises to provide competition for the ‘bottom shop’ which is now on the market for £269,950.
The marketing material, provided by Norman Lloyd, describes it as a ‘store currently run as a Spar with a separate Post Office’.
