Young entrepreneurs in Powys could soon be following in the footsteps of award-winning businesswoman Layla Bennet (pictured).

The falconry businesswoman is a previous Young Entrepreneur winner in the Powys Business Awards. For Layla, receiving the award raised her business profile significantly and she went on to secure investment on the BBC business programme Dragons' Den.

If you are under the age of 30 and a business person, then you could follow suit in the 2011 Powys Business Awards. However with just a few days left till the nomination deadline, you will need to act quick!

Last-minute entrants are also being invited for the Training and Development category.

You can download an entry form or enter online by going to www.powysbusinessawards.co.uk. Alternatively telephone 01686 628778. Nominations must be received by Monday, 27 June.

The 2011 Powys Business Awards are being organised by Powys County Council, MWMG and the Cambrian News. The event will culminate in a black-tie dinner at Theatr Hafren in Newtown on September 27.
