Students in year 10 at Welshpool High School have concluded the academic year with a two-week work experience programme.
Students started to look for their own placements in January and over 150 placements were successfully secured with local, national and international organisations.
During the two weeks, nearly all students received a visit from one of their teachers from school and the feedback has been excellent.
“Students have really thrived from being in the work environment and have shown great determination with the new challenges presented to them,” said a high school spokesperson.
“Some students have been offered part-time and even full-time positions when they leave school, and this demonstrates how well they have applied themselves during the two weeks.
“Welshpool High School is extremely grateful to all the employers for providing our students with such fantastic opportunities and their support as always, is much appreciated.”
