A Welshpool web design and development company is set to battle it out with other firms for two national prizes in business competitions tonight (Friday).

GloverSure Ltd will go head to head with other Welsh businesses at the Institute of Welsh Affairs Business Awards and the Wales Achievement Business Awards.

Owner Richard Glover-Davies, 29, who has triumphed at the Powys Business Awards for two consecutive years hopes to scoop prizes in the Young Achiever and Small Business categories.

GloverSure, a nine-strong team provides web and SMS text messaging marketing solutions as well as renting out office space to firms in Welshpool.

Mr Glover-Davies said the company is rapidly expanding and is about to create three new jobs.

“I'm really excited to have been short-listed for prizes in both awards and am delighted to be representing mid Wales. I know from the customers I deal with that this area has a thriving business community with great potential, so I'm hoping to put Mid Wales on the map,” he said.

“GloverSure has just launched its brand-new website www.gloversure.co.uk, detailing some of our new services, and I have nearly finished a new 7,500 square foot warehouse on our site at the Severn Business Centre, so I am hoping to rent this out early next year.”

Award ceremonies will take place at Cardiff Bay for the Institute of Welsh Affairs Business Awards and on December 2 in Bangor for the Wales Achievement Business Awards.
