Property heavyweights join forces

 

 

McCartneys, which has branches in both Newtown and Welshpool, has signed an agreement with Phipps & Pritchard which will stretch the companies’ network beyond 20 Estate Agents across Powys, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and into the West Midlands.

 

John Uffold, Chairman of McCartneys, said: “The merger of our two practices will mean that we can offer an unrivalled service across our expanded area. We will have 20 Estate Agency offices across five counties.”

 

Tim Elliot, Senior Partner of Phipps & Pritchard, said: “We have long established ourselves as the leading general practice of Chartered Surveyors within the local area, it is therefore a natural progression to expand our business with this amalgamation.”

 

The merger will make the new practice one of the largest, multi disciplined, independently owned property firms in the country. Both firms were established in the 1800’s and are recognised leaders in their fields offering a comprehensive range of property related services to their clients.
