Loyalty card getting into shape

18/07/2012 @ 03:14

The new venture helping local residents to save money in local businesses has signed up the Armoury which joins a growing number of firms offering discounts and bargains.

Local Loyalty Powys was launched last month and has proved an immediate hit with both local businesses and shoppers alike.

Cards are available at a number of businesses for a one off fee of £12 for life. Members can take advantage of a 10% discount on membership to the Armoury as well as a free induction session worth £12 for 12 months direct debit membership.

Local Loyalty Powys manager Rachel Hitchcock said she has been encouraged by the response to the card’s first month in circulation, with more businesses expected to come on line soon.

“It has been really pleasing,” said Rachel. “It shows that local people are willing to spend money locally and the card allows both shoppers and businesses to benefit. We are delighted that the Armoury has come on board. You can’t fail to be impressed by the renovation work now completed there.”

The Armoury has been completely transformed, with a Ladies-only gym (left), full Cardio-Vascular suite, Spin Studio (above), Free Weights room and a huge variety of classes on offer.

Local Loyalty Powys Membership cards are now available at WR Davies Motor Group, The Tourist Information Centre and The Celtic Company at Number Fourteen.

In Welshpool alone, Local Loyalty will save residents money at Nikki’s Boutique, Alexanders, Derwas, Rikki Lloyd’s, Fitzgeralds Hairdressers, Super Scoop, the Pinewood Café, Jan’s Gifts, Flaunt It and many more.
