Business finalists announced

The shortlists have been unveiled for the 2012 Powys Business Awards with 32 firms up for 11 different awards.
 
One winner will be chosen to be the overall Powys Business of the Year 2012 and there are several businesses in the Welshpool area in the running.
 
Winners will be announced at an awards dinner to be held on September 28 at Theatr Hafren, Newtown.
 
The finalists:
Social Enterprise / Charity Award sponsored by Mid Wales Housing Association Ltd – Brecon & District Disabled Club; Dragonwood of Newtown; and Felin Talgarth Mill Trading Ltd.
 
Entrepreneurship Award sponsored by Welsh Government – Gloversure of Welshpool (pictured winning at previous event); Welsh Road Trips of Llanwrtyd Wells; and eXwavia of Welshpool.
 
Farm Diversification Award supported by Farm Diversification Grant Scheme, www.glasu.org.uk – Welsh Farmhouse Applejuice of Crickhowell; Shakespeare Link of Llandrindod Wells; and Bedw Barn Wedding Venue, Luxury Accommodation & Spa of Newtown.
 
Growth Award sponsored by Finance Wales – CastAlum of Welshpool; Monty’s Brewery Ltd of Montgomery; and Wynnstay Group plc of Llansantffraid.

The awards celebrate excellence in business in the county and bring recognition in the local and regional business communities.
