Local girl banks on ‘Downton’

Local fans of Downton Abbey could be excused for double-taking during the ad break last night if they thought that they caught a glimpse of a local girl.During the smash hit ITV drama’s third ad break, Rachel Bates of Welshpool (pictured right) was seen in the new commercial for banking giants Santander.
The advert was filmed in Shrewsbury, where Rachel works at the local branch, and featured staff showing shoppers how much they could benefit by banking with Santander.
The advert is set to continue so keep your eyes peeled!
