Ambitious Welshpool firm in top 50

 

Welshpool-based Ivertek Drives has moved up 17 places since the 2011 Fast Growth 50 Awards to 32^nd, having significantly increased turnover in the last financial year.

 

The company is dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic variable speed drives for controlling electric motors. Its state of the art Welshpool headquarters houses specialist facilities for research & development, manufacturing and global marketing and its products are sold in more than 65 countries worldwide.

The independently owned company was established in 1998 by the current directors and has experienced an average 28% year on year growth fuelled by global demand – approximately 95% of its output is destined for export markets. Invertek Drives currently employs more than 130 people at its Welshpool headquarters and produced over 100,000 drives last year.

 

The ambitious company is currently gearing up for the largest trade show in the industry’s calendar, SPS, taking place in Nuremburg in November.
