McCartneys Welshpool turns one

McCartneys Welshpool has revealed some impressive statistics to celebrate the first anniversary of their local office opening.

According to rightmove, McCartneys Welshpool is ranked second from 45 agents for new listings and third out of the 45 agents for available property stock in the area.

The figures have been welcomed by Partner, Tom Carter, who said that they have adopted a pragmatic approach to pricing in what has been a very difficult trading year.

“We are delighted with how productive our first year in Welshpool has been,” he said: “To have come into Welshpool and obtained such a large market share in just 12 months from a standing start really is quite an achievement for us. We take a very sensible and realistic approach to selling property and offer our clients professional advice and extremely high levels of service and the results are becoming clear to see.

“It has been an incredibly interesting year for us with buyers coming from all over the UK and Europe. It has not been an easy year and we have had to take an extremely pragmatic approach to the pricing and marketing of the properties which we have taken on.

“The market has undoubtedly contracted throughout the past 12 months and although the number of potential buyers registering with us has been extremely healthy, they are all very cautious and getting asking prices right has been crucial to achieving interest.”

The opening in Welshpool office has also enabled them to bring in extra expertise on certain days.

Our first year in Welshpool has also allowed us to expand McCartneys other services. Rural chartered surveyor Katie Morris is based in Welshpool on Mondays carrying out rural professional work. On Thursdays, building surveyor Geraint Jones is here to deal with all manner of survey and planning work and the office has also secured a large number of lots to sell for clients in our fine art and furniture sale rooms.

“We remain very positive despite continued tough economic times and look forward to building on what we have achieved so far,” added Tom.
