17/10/2012 @ 01:12

Just four months after its formation the Powys Business Network is making an impact with a number of businesses in the county confirming that they have started trading with each other.

Since the launch events in Brecon and Newtown in July the Network has attracted 150 members and further events have been held in the north and south of the county.

Founder Katarina Cook is delighted with the response from the business community.

She said: “I have heard so many positive stories about businesses within county starting to trade with each other. One business has changed three of its suppliers to company’s based in Powys and they are delighted that they have received much better quality of goods and service. It just goes to show the power of networking.”

The November programme will include a meeting at Coleg Powys, Newtown on November 8, - start 6.15pm where Hardingpr will discuss ‘handling good and bad news’, and a further event will be staged at the Lion Hotel, Builth Wells on November 29 – 6.15 start with 5c Services Ltd giving a presentation on Cloud Computing and the importance of backups.
