Laying down the law

An expanding legal firm has officially opened its new office in Newtown, marking its introduction to Montgomeryshire.

Partners at Wace Morgan Tomleys performed a ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the new base in the town’s Market Street and later held a celebration attended by over 70 people.

The expansion is the result of the merger of long-established Mid Wales firm Tomleys with Wace Morgan Solicitors.

“This is an exciting time for our firm and for the team at Wace Morgan Tomleys,” said managing partner Diana Packwood. “We hope that the expansion will enable us to offer our specialist legal services to a wider area of mid Wales.

“Both practices have much in common, being renowned for their professional, personal and high quality work, and this is already proving to be a highly successful merger which is benefiting clients.

“Having been brought up in Mid Wales I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with clients in this area.”

Chris Tomley added: “The official launch of this new office is excellent news for not only my clients, but my staff and for Newtown. The service we offer will be more comprehensive with the new resources provided by Wace Morgan’s specialist staff of over 80 people.

“I am very pleased that Wace Morgan Tomleys will continue to provide the high quality, professional service and maintain the integrity of this firm as a traditional High Street practice, protecting the interests of our clients.”
