More milestones for MyWelshpool

03/02/2013 @ 07:11

January is supposed to be the year’s ‘quiet month’ but for us at MyWelshpool, we have recorded one of our busiest ever months!

We were thrilled by your support during 2012 which saw us reach memorable landmarks like three million page views, and 2013 shows no sign of slowing up.

Our reader figures from Google are in for January and they make powerful reading.

A total of 12,649 unique visits were made – that’s the number of individual devices logging onto our site during the month. In total, 44,678 visits were made by those devices and almost 130,000 pages were read. On average, you browsed through 2.84 pages per visit.

We are also monitoring your reader habits and during January, over one third of the visits – 16,152 - were made by readers using either smart phones or tablets. A vast majory of those were made through iPhones and IPads. We are keeping an eye on that closely so expect some news that will please you all very soon!

And don’t forget we now have Powys covered to become the fastest growing media group in Wales. MyNewtown has also enjoyed one if its busiest months while MyBrecon and MyRadnor have been warmly received down south and are growing nicely following their launch late last year.

With the two new sites, we now have more than 7,000 people following our 'family' through Twitter and Facebook. Staggering figures when you consider that as a group we are not even two-and-a-half years old yet!

It is all down to you and the support we receive from our growing number of advertisers who we hope that you will support. It is their investment in us that ensure the site will always remain free of charge for you to use.

We continue to evolve with your input. This past month we have added a jobs column as well as reader polls on our Facebook page. Local top international DJ Sonny Wharton’s column has proved a hit for our younger readers and it is now only a matter of days before we launch our most dynamic and exciting development yet... Watch this space!

The year has started off well and as always, we will do our best to ensure you are kept up to date and informed with what’s going on in your local neighbourhood.
