21/05/2015 @ 09:16

The sixth Powys Business Awards have been launched at County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, with three new categories added to the list.

The 2015 contest will see the addition of Best New Tourism Venture, Apprentice Award and Best Use of Digital Technology.

At the launch, organisers Mid Wales Manufacturing Group, Powys County Council and the Cambrian News announced the confirmed list of categories and sponsors for this year’s business awards.

Cllr Avril York, Powys County Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: “We are delighted to support these awards, which are a fantastic opportunity for businesses to raise their profiles and gives us the chance to showcase their excellence.

“The Powys Business Awards have become an important date in the business calendar and are an excellent way of highlighting the range and expertise of businesses in the county and celebrating their success.  I would urge all businesses in the county to enter into this year’s awards.”

Application forms are now available for the Awards, which will again culminate in a black-tie dinner in Newtown’s The Hafren on September 25, with the reception being sponsored by Antur Teifi.
