Welshpool deducted 3 more points

Just when things appeared to be looking up for Technogroup Welshpool, they have been deducted a further three points for failing to fulfil a Huws Gray Alliance fixture.
The troubled club is on its third manager this season following the earlier resignations of Graham Evans and Mike Barton, but appeared to be turning a corner under new boss Chris Herbert.
But it was delivered a hammer blow this morning after receiving the news that it would be penalised a further three points after pulling out of a midweek match with Penrhyncoch at the height of the club’s turmoil six weeks ago.
“This is a blow to the club because we felt we had strong grounds of defence,” said General Manager Liam Pritchard. “Among other things, we felt that we were not properly informed of the rearranging of the match to a Tuesday night so we feel the deduction is unfair. But the board have spoken and we have to abide by their decision as appealing is prohibitively expensive.”
Earlier in the season, Technogroup Welshpool was deducted 15 points for player irregularities which dropped them to the bottom of the table. Chris Herbert has since come in and brought a new edge to the team but, with three more points chopped, the Lilywhites find themselves 21 points adrift at the foot of the table.
