Let’s all Keep Welshpool Tidy!

04/02/2016 @ 11:26

Welshpool is invited to unite under the Town Council for a collective effort to clean up the town and make it free of litter.

While Welshpool fairs better than most, there are still concerns that litter is creeping back onto our streets and public areas, so a blitz has been organised for 10 days from March 4-13 called Keep Welshpool Tidy Week.

A number of organised ‘picks’ will be spearheaded by community groups but everyone is urged to get involved.

“The aim of the ‘week’ is for local groups, clubs and residents to take a proactive approach in ‘tidying up’ the town,” said a spokesperson. “Anyone interested in getting involved are encouraged to come along to the organised events.

“Alternatively, choose an area of the town which you believe needs a tidy, and tackle the problem at a time which best suits, but please register your interest with Welshpool Town Council,  through town.clerk@welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk.”
