A couple of weeks after announcing that National Express was returning to the Tourist Information Centre, it has been confirmed that rail tickets can be bought from the same venue.
The news will be welcomed by the growing number of people using the new hourly train service with passenger numbers up.
“Rail tickets are now on sale from the Travel Centre located at the Tourist Information Centre offering the same service as you would get at any main line station,” said a spokesperson.
“The centre can provide day tickets, advance tickets, discount tickets, railcards and season tickets for all over the UK.
“In addition, you can gain timetables, National Express Coach tickets and local bus information.”
The Tourist Information Centre is open Mondays to Saturdays 9.30am to 5pm and Sundays 10am to 4pm.
