Big 7-band gig in town next weekend

Following the release of the highly acclaimed 'Welshpool [Collected] Volume One' compilation CD featuring some of Welshpool top artists, Teller Promotions, the brains behind the CD are putting on a night at the Raven Inn, Welshpool on Saturday January 29.

 

 Seven of the local artists that appear on the CD will be playing back to back and it promises to be one of the best value for money nights out of the year, with entry just £2 on the door or £5 if you want the CD too.
 
Teller Promotions spokesman Ben Picken said: “We are really happy that everyone in the area is starting to realise the high quality of musical talent that has been un-appreciated for far too long. The CD and live events like this on the 29th have made people realise that they can listen and see brilliant live music on their doorstep. This will hopefully be the first of many Welshpool [Collected] live! nights and we are excited about the prospect of the future of live music in Mid-Wales and are already working hard on Volume Two as well as releases in Oswetsry and Newtown in the very near future.”
 
Artists signed up to perform include Chris Cookson, String the Marionette as well as a set from Colour Sunday's very own Rob Picken. Also on the bill are Andrew Neve, Rob Dunsford, The Misty Blue Trio and Moses. The fun starts at 8pm sharp. Over 16's only.
