After two months of signal problems and poor customer service from EE, it appears that Welshpool customers are back to full strength.
MyWelshpool, local politicians and scores of fed up customers have been bombarding EE for two months asking them to solve the signal problem which was apparently caused by overgrown trees blocking line of sight between masts.
Earlier this week Montgomeryshire AM Russell George liaised with all parties concerned after it was revealed the solution was not straight forward due to several agencies needing to give permission for the tree surgeons to move in.
Some customers were told that it could take as long as Christmas, but there was some surprise good news last night.
Mr George was informed that a solution had been found and then later on a member of the firm’s social media team Richard Penaluna posted on a Facebook page set up by Welshpool’s residents to voice complaints about the issue.
“We’re pleased to confirm that signal in Welshpool has been restored after our engineers worked throughout the day to find an alternative solution to the line-of-site issue causing the lack of signal,” he said.
“We’re monitoring the performance in the area to ensure that full service has been restored, but the residents of Welshpool should be receiving an improved service immediately. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and frustration that this has caused, and ask that customers contact us if they’re still experiencing any problems.”
