Welshpool High School is holding an Open Evening on Thursday, October 6 giving prospective pupils the chance to see the diverse range of opportunities on offer.

The thought of entering a new school or progressing from primary to secondary education can be a daunting thought at first. However, this transition is made smooth and enjoyable at Welshpool High School.

It is not only the teachers who make your academic experience pleasant, but advice from fellow peers and older students can help with classwork, homework and future career aspirations.

In order to put you in the best possible position for your future, Welshpool High School offers a diverse range of subjects and extra- curricular activities. By offering a great deal of opportunities to pupils of all ages within the school, your time is made to be the best it can be.

At the High School, academic studies are a priority, however the importance of personal hobbies and interests is also encouraged. Students are able to exercise their interests through the wide variety of clubs provided.

Head Girl Elana Phillips and Head Boy Oliver Pritchard said:

“After being at Welshpool High School since year 7, we are very happy to say that our time here has been excellent. We both have very positive relationships with our peers and subject teachers who offer us advice and support when needed.

“This has allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our time at the High School and excel in our studies.

“We hope that you will share a similar experience to us and invite you to come and speak to our teachers and meet pupils on Thursday 6th October at 6.30pm. “
