Chamber choir has something to sing about

A local and highly acclaimed chamber choir has something to sign about - its new website.

Quindici is launching its website as part of the its 15th birthday celebrations.

Director Suzanne Edwards said: “We’ve been saying we need a website for ages – it’s a basic requirement these days. So we’re thrilled with what our developer has done. It will be a great way to keep everyone informed about what we’re up to, where we are singing and all our news.”

The website features a “Listen” section which uses a selection of clips from the CD Even Such Is Time, matched beautifully with images filmed by developer Martin Evans – Arenig web design. The link to the website is below.

Suzanne added: “Quindici are celebrating 15 years of singing together this year, and we wanted to make the launch of the website part of those celebrations. We have lots of plans for the birthday year, starting with competing in Llandudno on November 6th at the North Wales Choral Festival.

“This is a new competition for us, and we’re looking forward to meeting choirs from all over the UK and experiencing a large scale competition.” There are still a few seats available on the coach going to Llandudno if anyone would like to support the choir. Looking ahead to the Christmas season, Quindici will be performing at Gregynog Hall, Tregynon, on December 4th at the annual Christmas concert of the Gregynog Young Musician’s Competition, and at Tregynon Church on December 10th.

In Tregynon the choir will be performing Benjamin Britten’s much loved “Ceremony of Carols”, and the programme will also feature a premiere of another “Ceremony of Carols” for male voices specially written for Quindici by its co-director Tim Mills. Further details available on the website.
