Welshpool up for three awards

Welshpool Town Council has been nominated as a finalist in no less than three categories at the National Go Procurement Awards.

The town council is in the running in the Best Customer Engagement Award for its Tourist Information Centre; the Procurement Team of the Year Award for the Day Centre; and the Best Service Award for the Street Scene.

It’s incredible recognition as Welshpool is the only town council to be nominated and they will be up against county councils, health boards and large Government entities.

“We are proud that Welshpool has reached the finalist stage this year in the National Awards, as last year we reached the final in the Welsh Awards,” said a spokesperson.

“We are the only Town Council on the list, so it shows that we must be doing something right!”

The winners will be revealed at a ceremony to be held in Manchester in March.
