Family thanks people of Welshpool for support after blaze

03/03/2017 @ 08:35

The family who lost their home and all their possessions in last week’s Oldford blaze have issued a big “thank you” to the people of Welshpool.

Sue and Mark Hocking and sons Nathan and Karl were left homeless by the fire but have been inundated with offers of support with £3,340 raised on a JustGivng page.

“Mark, Nathan, Karl and I would like to say that we have never been so proud of our town, family, friends, neighbours and strangers,” Sue Hocking told MyWelshpool.

“Our hearts are filled with love for all our messages, donations of money, clothes, furniture plus lots of personal gifts.

“We have a loving family around us loving friends, neighbours and a whole lot of people we don't know who are so generous.

“You have all touched our hearts very deep to keep us going a massive thank you to friends, family, neighbours, strangers, all the fire brigades that attended the ambulance people, the police, the people and neighbours that provided tea and coats and shoes everyone's support that night.
