Chance to see The Vikings

02/07/2017 @ 10:31

As part of Powysland Museum’s current exhibition “The Vikings and Wales – myths, legends, facts and finds”, the museum is showing this ultimate Hollywood movie about the Vikings starring Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh and Ernest Borgnine.

The film, which will be shown at the museum on Thursday at 7-30pm, was a huge success and although it has been criticised for its dubious grip on historical correctness, at least the Vikings in the film do not wear horned helmets.

Interestingly Ernest Borgnine played the father of the two main characters although he was in fact a month younger than Kirk Douglas.

Admission to this event is free with raffle tickets and refreshments for sale.

Spaces are limited so to be sure of a seat please book a place on 01938 554656 or email powysland@powys.gov.uk
