It's Zonfest time again

15/08/2017 @ 12:08

Zonfest, a family organised festival that has raised thousands of pounds for much needed and local charities, takes place at The Horseshoes, Arddleen on Sunday, August 27 in aid of the Lingen Davies Cancer Appeal and Hope House.

Seven years ago Yvonne Ellis of Welshpool Kitchen Centre was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer and had to undergo two operations and two years of treatment, which without the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre wouldn’t have been possible.

Last year £4,500 was handed to the appeal as well as a donation to Leg Club Severn and this year a donation will be made to Hope House in memory of  Keigan Davies, son of BJ and Sarah Davies.

“Each year we have held the festival, amazing musicians give their valuable time for free to help us raise  money. We are also so very grateful to the businesses and people that have done and continue to support our event by donating prizes and giving their time to help. We would like to thank you all so much,” said Yvonne.

“So come along to The Horseshoe, Arddleen on 27th August from 2pm onwards for a day full of live music, activities for children and adults, a BBQ, raffle and much more.”

Parking is available in the field opposite the Horseshoe.
