Prevent a local flu epidemic
Winter has struck with a vengeance already and MyWelshpool has teamed up with Welshpool Medical Centre to spread an important message to avoid the spread of flu.
Free vaccinations are available now at the centres in Welshpool and Guilsfield and if you fall under one of the following categories then book your appointment today:
- You are 65 years of age and over
- You are a carer
- You suffer from diabetes
- You have a BMI of over 40
- You suffer from a long term chronic condition affecting your heart, lungs, brain, nervous system, kidneys, liver, spleen or your immune system.
“Flu can be more serious than what you think,” said a spokesperson from the Medical Centre. “Do not underestimate the risk of Flu. Welshpool surgery are taking bookings from 8am week days and Guilsfield surgery from 2pm week days. Do not delay, have peace of mind and book your flu vaccination appointment.”
