Almost £20k raised by Poppy Appeal

Welshpool, you have delivered once again!

Our tremendous community has collectively coughed up almost £20,000 through this year’s Poppy Appeal and when the final donations have come in, last year’s total of £20,611.42 could well be surpassed.

Chief fund raiser Jan Williams said: “What a fantastic amount from our Poppy Appeal, £19,616.44, and with still more to come in. I would like to say a big thank you to all who have supported us.”

A number of events were held and collections made across the Welshpool area with all of the money raised going to the Royal British Legion.
