Pupils in DVLA Code Challenge

18/12/2017 @ 09:53

Last week, pupils from Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School attended the DVLA code challenge competition in Swansea.

Pupils who are part of the after school Scratch Club attended the event after entering a competition where they needed to design a game using their computer coding skills.

The children had a fantastic day where they were able to play interactive games and watch demonstrations from the local police force, ambulance service and the Army. They even got to meet BBC Wales’ very own Lucy Owen who was hosting the event.

The rest of the school watched via a live web link back in school and saw the team walk away with hundreds of pounds worth of computing kit for the school and look forward to entering the competition again next year.
