Vive la fitness!

It’s been full steam ahead for our fitness partners Great Escape and Fitness as members and visitors have been shedding the pounds ahead of the hectic Festive Season.

The health and fitness centre at the former Pola Cinema building has been running a number of themed competitions on its social media pages, as well as offering free spin classes on Wednesday and Thursday this week to provide extra opportunities to get in shape before the Christmas over indulgence.

But the team is looking forward to an exciting 2018 with a number of offers available to new members, not to mention a big charity bike ride to the other side of the English Channel.

“We want to take this opportunity to mention our charity fundraising for our 350+ mile Paris cycling trip in April,” said the gym’s Chris Greatorex. “You can never raise enough money, and we want to continue asking local businesses if they would be so kind to donate towards Blossom’s Legacy and Sport Relief through our funding page”

The page is https://www.gofundme.com/great-fitness-cycle-to-paris-2018 and to boost the funds further, the team is holding a Charity Promise Auction on February 17 at the Royal Oak with a number of fantastic prizes already secured.

“We want to secure as many prizes as we can so if any companies out there would be willing to donate something then please let us know on 01938 559007,” added Chris. “All money raised at our auction will also go towards the final total for our two wonderful charities.”
