Thousands raised at charity auction

26/02/2018 @ 08:10

It was a bumper night of fund raising when MyWelshpool fitness partners Great Escape raised more than £5,000 for charity.

Several staff and gym members are planning to cycle from town to Paris in just four days in April for Sport Relief and Blossom’s Legacy, and they gave their fund raising efforts a shot in the arm with a promise auction at the Royal Oak.

“All of us at Great Fitness would like to place on record a huge thank you to everybody who came to our Charity Promise Auction,” said Chris Greatorex.

“We are currently up to over £5,300 in money raised from the night all thanks to everybody being so generous with their bids.

“We will look to continue our fundraising for Blossom’s Legacy and Sport Relief until after our Paris cycle ride at the end of April is complete.

“We would also like to thank all of the wonderful people and companies who donated auction items to the cause, The Royal Oak for having us, Tom Carter for the brilliant auction and David Dai Robs Roberts, Steve Edwards and Carl Hanaghan for providing the entertainment!”
