Bonus month for 200-Club players

Welshpool Town Council said it will add an extra month to the 12-monthly 200-Club draw after some ticket holders complained that they were in the dark.

Concerns had been raised recently by some who had bought the tickets, which raise money for the Welshpool Carnival, that they were not aware of the winners to date.

But the Town Council has apologised, stating that as a good will gesture they will add an extra month for free when the current tickets expire in July.

“Each month we advertise the winning number on the Town Council Facebook page as well as the Welshpool Melting Pot page,” said Town Clerk, Robert Robinson. “We also contact the winners directly.

“If anyone is unsure of their number, they can contact Welshpool Town Council on 01938 553 142.

The draw is made at the monthly Events and Tourism Committee meeting and eight months have been drawn so far (below).

“There will be a draw in April, May, June and July at the Events and Committee Meeting,” added Mr Robinson. “A bonus month will also be added in August as a gesture to apologise if people felt the results have not been correctly published.”
