WI recruitment continues

Welshpool Women’s Institute is stepping up a recruitment drive to boost its ranks in order to ensure the group’s long term future.

Ahead of its next meeting on May 9 at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church School Room, Welshpool WI said that more guests have been attending recent meetings to find out more, and the doors are wide open for anyone to attend their get together next week.

“Our recruitment drive carries on with several ladies attending as guests but we still need new members to keep our group going so a warm welcome is extended to any women who would like to come along,” said Linda Hilditch. “Sometimes it is difficult to take the first step into in a new venture so if you would like more information please call me on 077 601 55468.”

The guest speaker will be from Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre.

Over the past month, Welshpool WI members have attended the Wales Conference at Dolfor and also the Severn Group meeting hosted by Guilsfield WI. The more creative members of the group are busy working on their entries for the Powys Montgomery Federation Spring Show.
