Mayor's Parade this Sunday

Welshpool’s annual Mayor’s Parade will take place tomorrow (Sunday) following Councillor Steve Kaye’s re-election as Mayor for a third year in office.

The parade will leave Park Lane at 10-40am, heading down Jehu Road, Brook Street and Church Bank for the annual 11am service at St Mary’s Church.

The service will end around 12 noon and the parade return from outside  Inglenook Cafe in Union Street along Church Street and up Broad Street to the Town Hall.

The new ramp to help those in wheelchairs get into church will be in place again this year.

Thena ll are invited to join the Mayor, and Councillors for nibbles and drinks in the Assembly Room. 

At around 12.15 there will be presentations by the Mayor of five SpecialCommunity Awards.
