Welshpool is ready to take a trip back in time this weekend when it hosts its annual 1940s festival.
A number of events and performances are planned with the weekend becoming popular with visitors who travelled in last year from as far away as America.
“The 1940s Weekend gives a welcome boost to the town’s economy, with people travelling far and wide to be a part of it,” said organiser, Alan Crowe.
“Visitors will be staying in local hotels, caravan parks, B&B’s and eating out at local cafes, pubs and spending their money in the town.
“It is really pleasing to see that more and more businesses in the town have got behind the event this year.”
As well as the events listed below, entertainers will also be performing in Hall Street and Puzzle Square, include George Formby Experience, Bluebird Belles, Kitty Lamore, Moonlight Serenade, Kitten Von Mew, Jayne Darling and more.
A grand parade of re-enactors led by Gwent and Powys ACF Band will take place at midday on Saturday.
Copies of the programme are available from the Tourist Information Centre, Alexanders, Flaunt It, and the Corn Exchange.
