Mid Wales Opera will launch their Autumn Tour this Friday at Theatr Llwyn, Llanfyllin, followed by three other local dates from 16 performances in total.
The evening of classic comedy with Ravel’s hilarious bedroom farce A Spanish Hour (L’heure espagnole) will open at 7.30pm with tickets priced at £10.
Meet Concepcion (played by Cath Backhouse- pictured) as she entertains her increasingly ridiculous collection of lovers, stashing them in clock cases while her husband, the hardworking clockmaker, does his civic duty and fixes the town hall clocks.
With five professional singers and four musicians this is opera for everyone, and great value entertainment.
There is no dress code with tickets available on the door (cash or cheques only).
The local dates in the 16-stop tour are:
November 9 - Theatr Llwyn, Llanfyllin
November 24 - Trefeglwys Memorial Hall
November 29 – SpArC Bishops Castle
December 6 - Abermule Community Centre
