It’s the classic scenario that most of us have always dreamed of!
Jean and Morris Sod were ordinary folk until their lives changed overnight when their numbers came up. But now their real drama will begin!
Lucky Sods is the dark comedy by BAFTA award winner John Godber and is being staged by Guilsfield Amatuer Dramatic Society at Guilsfield Community Centre on March 31, April 1 and 2.
Find out if Jean and Morris can keep the lottery win from turning their lives upside down as they cope with the pressure of old flames, rapacious relatives, unfulfilled ambition, family tragedy and different ideas of what to do with the money.
Lucky Sods is described as a very funny expose of a mid life crisis just waiting for the spark to set it off; and there is no bigger spark than a win on the Lottery!
First performed by Hull Truck Theatre soon after the National Lottery was launched in the 1990s, Godber’s play remains a relevant and humorous comment on the randomness of luck.
The three performances at Guilsfield each start at 7.30pm and advance tickets are available from Welshpool Jewellers, or from Sue on 01938 590312 or Sarah on 500627.
