Warwickshire County Council has confirmed the appointment of Powys County Council’s Strategic Director Ian Budd as Assistant Director of Education.
A statement by the Midlands authority said: “Ian will be joining Warwickshire from Powys County Council, where he has been undertaking a similar role.
“He brings a considerable depth of strategic and operational experience within education and will add considerable value in working with local system leaders to progress the collective aspirations and priorities for education in Warwickshire.”
Mr Budd’s role as Strategic Director at Powys County Council is not included in a new management structure adopted as part of a review of top jobs carried out by acting Chief Executive Mohammed Mehmet. Up to 10 senior roles are vanishing under the council’s transformation programme.
