Team Paddison on the road again

21/07/2019 @ 10:16

Team Paddison has left Kinross this morning at the start of a 90-mile cycle to Newtownmore – hoping for better weather.

Yesterday the team endured the worst weather conditions so far on the 83-mile journey from Moffat to the North of Edinburgh which took them over the Forth Road Bridge.

Thank goodness day 9 is over, the toughest of all days,” said Andrew Paddison last night.

“We started in the pouring rain, absolutely soaked me right down to the skin. Stripped off at coffee stop, with Emma peeling me out of my clothes - lucky Emma. then we had to navigate through the middle of Edinburgh, with a very kind hotel receptionist allowing me to use their facilities.

“We joined 30 other cyclists who were just finishing a 300 mile ride from Grantham in under 24 hrs, then the sun shone as we traversed the Forth Road Bridge and landed in Kinross 82 miles later at 5.30pm.

”A long hard day but must always remember it's for charity, mind over matter will prevail,” he added.
