Tidying up a landmark

One of Welshpool’s forgotten landmarks has had a spruce up, courtesy of a joint effort driven by two residents.

The community spirit project was organised by Ruth Canning and Avril Hart to tidy up the old fountain on Severn Road.

Welshpool Town Council workers jet washed the stone work and cleared the area, while Paul Alexander from Alexander’s of Welshpool donated the compost and Morrisons donated the bulbs which Ruth and Avril planted.
