MP opens new outdoor childcare facility
Churchstoke Little Explorers received £10,000 from The Childcare Offer Small Grants Scheme to enable the children to take advantage of being outdoors.
“The grant has helped to develop skills through outdoor play by encouraging an Active Lifestyle which can be enjoyed by our pre and after school settings,” said a spokesperson.
“The setting has strong links to the school, with the pre-school enjoying lunch cooked on site daily at the school making the transition to school easier for the children.”
Churchstoke Primary School is currently fighting for its future with Powys County Council wanting to close it as part of its plans to streamline education.
