Garden raises charity cash

08/09/2021 @ 10:35

Bachie Uchaf, Llanfyllin, opened its stunning garden this year for the 10th consecutive year to raise much needed money for a range of charities.

Glyn and Glenys Lloyd, owners of the garden, opened it up for the National Garden scheme and private open garden event and raised a whopping £1,176. It means that £511 will be sent to the National Garden scheme for nursing and health care charities, as well as donating £300 to the NSPCC through refreshment sales and £365 to the Air Ambulance.

Over the years the beautifully landscaped garden has raised several thousands for a range of charities whilst allowing visitors to enjoy the maturing shrub and flower garden, vegetable plot and beautiful views from the many seating areas.

Glyn and Glenys wish to thank everyone for their continued support over the years making the open garden a success year on year come rain or shine.
