It’s been three years in the making, but an event to raise funds for the Montgomery Community Buildings Preservation is scheduled to go finally ahead at the end of the month.
After originally being postponed in 2018, and then then further delayed by the pandemic, Glamtastic is rescheduled for Saturday, September 15, from 8pm.
“This time around, it will be an even bigger show,” said a spokesperson.
“The first half will feature the best of the well-known and loved Glam Rock classics. The second half, Whamtastic, will move on to the music of the early part of the 80s. So dust off those old wigs and flares, or pixie boots and frilly shirts, which have been hiding at the back of your wardrobe; put on your glam-rags and bring your friends.”
One of the show’s organisers and bass player, Keith Williams, said: “Are you ready? Come and join us for an evening of long-overdue live music and fun.”
Tickets are £12.50 and available from The Dragon Hotel and Bunners, or via the website at www.glamtastic.co.uk.
